ComedyUSA

Issue #2  Summer 1986

Released at some point during the summer of 1986, the second issue of Comedy USA proudly featured Jay Leno at the point in his career when he was the King of live performance and had just been named as a regular guest host of The Tonight Show With Johnny Carson. Also proudly featured in this issue were focuses on "The Ladies Of Laughter" a moniker used by many others in the years to follow and premiered here with the talents of Susie Essman, Patty Rosborough, Carrie Snow, Judy Tenuta and Sue Kolinksy. Larry Miller, the great stand-up who was on his way to also becoming a great character actor in multiple films was another focus of this issue as were two comics we introduced in our "Showcase" feature: Fred Greenlee, a uniquely funny man who has moved into the production end of the business and a young Bob Goldthwait, who has gone on to become the legendary "Bobcat" known for his stand up, acting and movie writing and directing . Look this one through. It is full of names you are sure to know and remember.
